Liquid N is still going on. Daytime high temperature is between 80 and 90 degrees and we have just the right amount of moisture. Corn loves this weather.

Yesterday we saw some sprinkles in the morning, but it didn't add up to anything, so the liquid nitrogen machine was rolling all afternoon. This morning it rained again, and this time we got enough rain to keep us shut down for a couple more days.

Looks like eastern IA is the garden spot in the US this season. While much of the rest of the corn belt is still too wet to plant, our crops are looking as good as one could expect. We did get some rain a couple days ago, but it was light. We might be able to get the liquid nitrogen machine going again tomorrow.

Planted a few acres of beans earlier this morning, but some scattered showers rolled in and made it just damp enough not to plant.

Only got to the upper 80s today. A few sprinkles about sunrise, and the afternoon storms went around us.

More soybeans today. Temperature was just above 90 degrees with a 20 MPH wind. There is a chance of rain the next few days, which is alright since we're a bit on the dry side.
