Late this afternoon we decided to turn over some ground, just to get an idea how close it is to working. The Quad-Trac had a little slippage, but we kept moving. The plan is to make one tillage pass, let it dry overnight, and hopefully plant it tomorrow.

Welcome to the beginning of the blog for the 2008 season here in Iowa. It has been a wet spring, so we haven't done any field work yet. The equipment is ready to go, but rain is in the forecast for several days this week. If we didn't get any more rain, it would probably take 2-3 days to dry out the ground enough to get moving.
