Wake up call with Shawn. I heard Auger and Johnny T. leave this morning around 5:30 or something like that heading back to MN. They had to be back by noon for work. A train rolled through town somewhere in there too, but I was too tired to care at that point.

We're back at the trailers. We started cutting after lunch and cut till just after dark. I don't have a clue how many acres we covered, but it has to be well over 500. Combine #5 sprung a hydraulic leak by the transmission. That got fixed, but started to leak again about the time we finished up. My machine and one other got plugged up air intake filters which caused a lot of annoyance from the idiot lights and alarms. All of the spring wheat cut today was hauled to the bins, which are maybe a quarter mile away. The temperature today was only about 80 degrees which was very nice. It is actually on the cool side tonight. We fought with a brisk breeze most of the day today as well, but that slowed tonight about dusk, making it a crazy mess of combine lights as we finished the field. Just think of an airport in the fog with planes still landing.
