We completed our trip to Frederick at just over 1000 miles. We had a small delay when one truck ran low on fuel and wouldn't purge the air from the fuel system. We had strong head winds today to fight against too. Kansas has some irrigated ground, but only saw 2 of them running the whole day, if that gives you an idea of the moisture in the area. We saw taller wheat that was green in the morning. About 50 miles from OK, the color changes to brown, and then finally in southern OK the wheat is that awesome golden color. As we came into Frederick, there was only 1 crew already cutting wheat. This is my first time into OK and I must say that this state is awesome. The scenery of the hills is incredible.

We drove 540 miles today and ended up in Superior, NE where it is about 75 degrees and about 90% humidity. It was closer to 50 degrees when we left MN this morning. SD looked a lot like MN with wheat less than a foot tall yet. NE didn't have as many lakes, and the crops look about the same. I was amazed at how much of NE is irrigated. There were many farmers tilling and planting crops. The ground looks to be wet everywhere, but not flooded.
