Yesterday was overcast and foggy, but we picked corn most of the day. The highlight of the day was that the grain cart got stuck in the field and 8 truck got stuck on the gravel road. The roads were very slick from the rain the night before. As for today, its a bit different from normal. I'm now back in Iowa so I can be back at my other job in a couple days. Along the drive, I noticed many acres of grain still in the fields. Looks like this year will be a very late harvest due to our wet weather.

I made another couple trips over to Wahpeton with soybeans and now we have 2 more empty bins to fill with corn. The rest of the day was spent hauling dry corn to the elevator. We had light rain off and on all day so nothing was cut. If it is dry tomorrow, we will start back in on the corn.

Today we hauled soybeans over to Wahpeton, ND which is about a 70 mile trip one way. I made 4 trips today, and probably 2 more tomorrow. This evening it began to mist so we don't know yet if we will be able to harvest anything tomorrow or not.

Blane and I arrived back here in Evansville yesterday morning just as they were getting started on corn for the day. We are now running 2 combines in corn which creates a lot of bushels to transport. I've been hauling wet corn back to the main farm pretty much non stop. Tomorrow looks to be a bit different as we will be hauling some soybeans out of the bins. Meanwhile, I'm going to get some sleep.
