Tyler and Blane left this morning at sunrise headed for MN where Tyler will be cutting wheat along side some cat combines there. Brent has been home in MN for a couple days, but will be back here in Tioga by the end of the day today. Shawn, Brandon, Cris, Dan, and Matt are still over in Wolf Point, MT. They are about done with wheat there which is good since snow is expected in that area in a couple days. Their next stop is thrashing milo in SD. Eric, Mike and Scott are over in Oakley, MN to cut some spring wheat. The 8010 is still down in Minot, ND.

We washed up the T800s today and loaded a header and combine on one of them. That machine will be going to MN to cut some wheat there. It sounds like the soybeans in MN are about 3 weeks away from cutting which puts us in a bind since that is probably when most of the wheat around here will be ripe. Tonight we went to Williston and checked out some gleaners, cats, and the go kart track.

Rain moved in yesterday and we have not cut anything since. Today we cleaned up the campers, fixed a couple small things, and washed a couple trucks.

The last couple days have been busy. We thrashed canola yesterday and this morning, then more swathed barley this afternoon. The canola is a crop that picks up off the ground real nice, but is brittle and shells out in the header. The stems however are pretty tough and it is easy to have the combine injest too much and slug the rotor.

We serviced the combines and replaced a belt on one of the pickup headers. Brent took a sample of the canola, but its just a bit too wet yet. Tomorrow is expected to be a hot day which will help a lot for getting everything dry.

It sprinkled early this morning so we slept in for a while. After lunch we started thrashing some swathed barley. We finished up a field about 9:00 tonight, and it started raining shortly after that.

Eric and Mike left for MN today to cut wheat there. Tyler and Matt made another trip down to Regent and Mott to get the last hopper trailer and number 8 truck. The rest of us here washed some pickups, replaced some of the teeth on the pickup headers, and took a couple combines out to a swathed barley field. If tomorrow is warm and windy, maybe we can do some thrashing. Our camp is close to a railroad that stays pretty busy. Most of us are adjusting to trains waking us up at night. Amtrak uses this line too and I saw one of their trains cruise through tonight.

We didn't go back to Regent today as we had expected to. Instead, we went over to Kenmare to get a couple of the pickup headers that we will need for some swathed barley and canola here in Tioga. We also unloaded the 3 combines we brought up yesterday.

Today we moved the rest of the machinery north. There is still a hopper trailer back in Regent that we will get tomorrow along with number 8 truck in Mott with the 9250 and grain cart. There were a couple corn and soybean fields along the way that had noticeable damage from the frost last week.
